The World of Lan Xang

Lan Xang or as it translates 'Land of the elephant' was an Asetti design for a proposed luxury hotel, multi purpose leisure, retail and entertainment complex in Vientiane in Laos. The proposed project consisted of a multiple number of zones with varying usage. Scope was to create a modern, world class facility in combination with due respect to local cultural elements, religious beliefs and Laotian architecture.
The development consisted of a 5 star 250 room luxury hotel, a 4 star 300 room hotel, entertainment centre, shopping plaza, outdoor and indoor restaurants and cafes, international food court, IMAX & digital movie theatres, cultural theatre, performance hall, amusement section, swimming pools, lush gardens and landscape.
